Climate change motivating fantasy
The summer of 2023 in Catalonia was marked by severe drought. For several years that followed, fountains in cities were shut down, and water consumption for urban use was reduced. Many forests and nature reserves were severely affected.
In August of that year, we filmed this work in a drained quarry.

The world has run out of all the water. The land is dry, the soil is cracked, and nature is dying slowly from drought. A creature lurks for a drop of life-resurrecting liquid. Finding no such source, she sacrifices her life for the rest of the living beings.

tHIRSt awards and selections
The tHIRSt short film was selected for the Lift-Off Global Network screenings in 2024, and a year later, the film won an award at the Bangkok Movie Awards in the Women's Film category.
